Each sachet treats up to 4L of Milk
This Mesophilic culture (MW3) is freeze dried and contains special strains of Lactococcus lactis subsp. cremoris and Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis.
You can make many cheeses including Feta, Cottage Cheese, Cream Cheese, Hard Cheese, Quark, Goats Feta, Farmhouse Butter, Cheddar, Colby, Wensleydale, Caerphilly, Havarti, Chevre Frais, Goats Milk Spreadable Cheese and more.
Each sachet contains enough culture for 4L (1 US Gal) of milk. Activity = 2.4 U
5 sachets will make:
20 batches (8 kg/17.5 lb) of Soft Cheese
5 batches (2.5 kg/5.4 lb) of Hard Cheese
Contains a small amount of dairy.
These are shelf stable for 8 months out of the freezer when stored below 25C, but we recommend to store in the freezer if you can to extend their shelf life.
