Lactose 500g
Lactose (Milk Sugar) is non-fermentable by beer yeast and used to add sweetness, body and mouth feel to beers and wines. Ideal for back sweetening without over stretching the yeast.
Perfect for adding body and a smooth creamy head to stouts (stout with added lactose is Milk Stout).
Add 500g to a 23L (5 gallon) batch or as instructed in the recipe.
Lactose does not easily mix with beer so either add at boiling or dissolve in water prior to adding.
